Plain English on what Black Hawk does with your information, what the Discord bot changes, and how to remove it all.

01Who we are
Black Hawk is a community-run DayZ server on PlayStation, run by its admins. This website shows the server’s stats and lets players link their Discord and PSN accounts. Questions or requests go to the admins through a ticket in the Black Hawk Discord.
02What we collect and why
| What | Details | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Your Discord account | Your Discord ID, username and profile picture | To sign you in. Discord login only shares these: never your email, messages, friends or other servers |
| Your PSN name | The callsign you type when you link | To match you to your game stats, and to set your Discord nickname in the Black Hawk server |
| Game activity | Kills, deaths, weapons, distances, play time, when you connect, and where kills happen on the map | Read from the server’s admin logs to run leaderboards, profiles and the killfeed |
| Your choices | ID card portrait, medals, and whether your dossier is public | To show your card the way you want |
| Analytics, only if you accept | Pages visited, device type and rough location | To see which pages get used. See the cookies page |
03What the Black Hawk bot does in Discord
When you link your PSN name on this site, the Black Hawk bot does two things in the Black Hawk Discord server, straight away:
- Changes your nickname in that server to your PSN name, so players can match Discord to who they meet in game
- Gives you the Operative role, which marks you as linked
That is all it can do. Its only permissions are Manage Nicknames and Manage Roles, in the Black Hawk server only. It does not read messages, send messages or DMs, or touch any other server. Your Discord name everywhere else stays the same.
Discord does not let bots rename server owners or admins ranked above them, so their nicknames stay as they are. Using Forget me in your settings removes the Operative role and resets your nickname.
04Linking is on trust
Linking does not check in game that a PSN name is yours, so only link your own. Each PSN name can belong to one Discord account. Admins remove links that are not genuine and can act under the server rules.
05What is public
Leaderboards, the killfeed and operative profiles show callsigns and game stats to anyone, because they are part of the game. You can hide your own dossier and ID card in your settings; your callsign still appears on leaderboards. Your Discord ID is never shown.
06Where it is kept and who helps
- Google Firebase stores the data and runs the site, in Europe and the UK (Belgium, the Netherlands and London)
- Nitrado hosts the game server and its logs
- Discord handles login and runs the bot
- Google Analytics only if you accept analytics cookies
- We never sell your information or use it for ads
07How long we keep it
- Your link and card choices: until you use Forget me or ask us to remove them
- Game stats: for the current season, and season results in the Hall of Fame afterwards
- The login cookie: 30 days, or until you sign out
08Our reasons, in legal terms
Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR): we sign you in and link your accounts because you ask us to; we run stats and leaderboards from the server logs because it is a legitimate part of running the server; and we only use analytics with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
09Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete what we hold about you, or object to how we use it. The quickest way to remove your link is Forget me in your operative settings. For anything else, open a ticket in the Discord.
If you are unhappy with how we handle it, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
10Changes
If this changes, the date at the top changes too. Big changes are announced in the Discord.
