Black HawkThe Last Order
They sent us to contain the outbreak. They never told us who started it.

The First Lie
Area 51. Restricted research facility
The first alarm sounds in Research Wing Seven.
Eleven minutes later, the entire underground facility is placed under emergency lockdown.
Six minutes after that, the security teams stop responding.
CAM 07-B / Research Wing Seven / Containment corridor
- Twelve researchers gathered outside a containment chamber.
- One collapsed.
- Three attempted to help.
- Then the first researcher rose and attacked the others.
What followed was initially classified as a violent neurological reaction to an unidentified chemical substance. The official incident report listed an equipment malfunction.
The wing was sealed. The surviving personnel disappeared from government records, and every piece of evidence was classified above Top Secret.

By sunrise, three military transport aircraft had left the installation.
Their cargo manifests were empty.
Their destination was not.
Project Nightfall had begun.
Project Nightfall
Programme summary
Project Nightfall
Ref. NF/7/0219
For years, the American military funded a biological research programme buried beneath the Nevada desert. Its purpose was known to a handful of senior officials.
Project Nightfall studied an exceptionally aggressive viral pathogen, one capable of destroying higher cognitive function while leaving the host alive. The infected could still run, attack, respond to movement and survive injuries that would stop an ordinary person. They showed extreme aggression towards anyone uninfected.
The researchers believed the pathogen could be controlled. They were wrong.

As the experiment deteriorated, Command faced a choice: destroy the research, or move it beyond the reach of domestic oversight.
They chose relocation. A covert transport operation moved classified biological material, equipment and the surviving research staff to a remote facility in Nasdara, a conflict-scarred province of Takistan.

The Nasdara Incident
- Report
Residents of a settlement near a military supply route complain of fever, confusion and unexplained acts of violence.
- Police
Local police are dispatched. They never return.
- Days later
Hospitals are overwhelmed. Military checkpoints are abandoned. Entire neighbourhoods fall silent.
The infected moved through towns and villages, attacking anything that remained uninfected. Water became scarce. Roads filled with abandoned vehicles. Communications failed.
The authorities tried to contain it, but nobody understood the scale of what was happening.
Then came the order to isolate Nasdara
- No civilian evacuation.
- No international observers.
- No outside communications.
Province declared a restricted military zone
But the infection had already escaped containment.
Somewhere beneath the streets, inside a classified installation known as S4, the remaining Nightfall scientists were still transmitting.
And someone in Washington was still listening.

Black Hawk entered Nasdara believing it was a recovery mission.
It was walking into a graveyard.
The Fall of S4
The first Black Hawk units reached the outskirts of the containment zone and found abandoned military vehicles, deserted checkpoints and bodies with no sign of conventional combat.
Then the attacks began. Not from an organised enemy, but from the population. The infected came out of apartment blocks, alleyways and ruined settlements.
- Ammunition ran low.
- Convoys were separated.
- Medical evacuation became impossible.
- Sandstorms grounded aircraft.
- Isolated units dropped off the network.
- The desert itself had become another enemy.
When a surviving reconnaissance team finally reached S4, the facility appeared deserted. The outer gates were open. The security cameras were still recording.
The terminal repeats: DO NOT TERMINATE THE PROGRAMME.
Recovered document
AuthenticSenior command had received warnings about the infection weeks before Black Hawk deployed.
The task force had not been sent to stop an unknown threat.
It had been sent to retrieve something Command already knew was dangerous.
The Last Order
At 04:32, Black Hawk command received its final authenticated transmission. It contained four instructions.
- 1.Cease all recovery efforts.
- 2.Destroy unsecured classified materials.
- 3.Withdraw surviving personnel from designated facilities.
- 4.Await further extraction instructions.
Extraction never came. The designated airfield stayed empty. Aircraft assigned to the operation vanished from military tracking, and satellite communications were cut.
Within hours, the entire task force had disappeared from official military records. To the outside world, Operation Black Hawk had never existed.
They were never coming back.
- Some soldiers kept following orders.
- Some deserted.
- Others turned on their own command.
They stripped abandoned depots, recovered military equipment and dug in across the surviving settlements. The chain of command no longer mattered. Water, ammunition and shelter did.
The Voices Beneath the Sand
For weeks after the operation collapsed, Nasdara’s military radio network stayed silent. Then, after sunset, the transmissions began.
Survivors put the first intermittent signals down to damaged equipment. But the patterns repeated. Short pulses, long pulses, deliberate pauses.
Morse code.
Former signals personnel recognised the messages as structured military traffic. They contained coordinates, and access codes.
The coordinates led to underground shelters hidden beneath towns across Nasdara. Many were built long before the outbreak and later turned into emergency caches of military equipment, weapons and supplies: enough to change the balance of power between survivors.
Example Morse: -... .... / ... .. --. -. .- .-... Decoded: BH SIGNAL.
Decoded BH SIGNAL
Example Morse signal, decoded as BH SIGNAL.
Illustration only. Nothing here is a live broadcast, a location or a code.
But there was a problem
- The broadcasts changed.
- Not every shelter could be opened.
- A message was only worth something to whoever could decode it, reach the location and get inside before the chance was gone.
Factions began monitoring the airwaves. Some worked together to break the transmissions. Others waited for rivals to give the locations away, and followed them through the dark.
The shelters became hunting grounds. Every transmission was an opportunity, and every opportunity came with a risk.
Working theories
Automated military equipment?
Theory 01. UnconfirmedA surviving Black Hawk signals unit?
Theory 02. UnconfirmedSomeone still alive inside S4?
Theory 03. UnconfirmedOr someone deliberately drawing survivors towards the shelters?
Theory 04. Unconfirmed
No transmitting station has been confirmed.
When the sun falls over Nasdara, the dead radio network comes alive.
And somewhere beneath the sand, another bunker is waiting to be found.
The real transmissions can only be received in game, on a working radio. Decoding them, and surviving the trip, is down to you.
The Fracture
With central command gone and the operation abandoned, Nasdara became a territory without a government. Surviving soldiers, local civilians and independent mercenaries formed factions.
- Some claimed territory to protect their supplies.
- Others built fortified compounds and charged for safe passage.
- Bounties were placed on enemies.
- Alliances formed, then collapsed.
| Before | Now |
|---|---|
| Ammunition | Currency |
| Military equipment | Power |
| Old command posts | Faction strongholds |
| Supply routes | Ambush points |
| Underground shelters | Strategic objectives |
Today, no single faction controls Nasdara.
Those with the resources to defend territory can claim it. Those without must fight, negotiate or survive beyond the settlements.
The infected remain everywhere.
And every night, the radios keep transmitting.
The Final Transmission
Recovered from a damaged military receiver believed to have belonged to a member of Black Hawk’s original command staff. The recording is incomplete.
- 00:00
“Black Hawk Actual, this is Raven Two.”
- 00:04
“S4 is compromised.”
- 00:09
“We’ve recovered the research files. This was never a containment mission.”
- 00:15
“The outbreak here wasn’t an accident.”
- 00:19[Signal interruption]
- 00:31
“The orders came before we deployed.”
- 00:35
“They knew what was inside.”
- 00:38
“They knew we’d never make it out.”
- 00:41[Unidentified gunfire]
- 00:52
“If anyone is receiving this…”
- 00:56
“Do not trust the extraction orders.”
- 01:02[Signal lost]
- Authenticated as a Black Hawk operational call sign.
- No further transmissions from Raven Two have been recorded. Whether the speaker survived is unknown.
- The recovered research files have never been located.
Your Orders Have Expired
The governments have fallen silent. The original Black Hawk mission is over.
But the survivors remain.
- You may have been part of the original deployment.
- You may be a civilian who watched the world collapse.
- You may be a deserter, a mercenary, or someone who simply found a way to survive.
Out here, your past means nothing. Your decisions determine everything.
- 01Build a faction
- 02Claim territory
- 03Secure supplies
- 04Hunt the infected
- 05Decode the transmissions
- 06Find the bunkers
And never assume the person standing beside you is an ally.
Somewhere beneath Nasdara, the truth about Project Nightfall is still buried. Whether anyone lives long enough to uncover it is another matter.
The mission is over.Your survival is not.
